New Ventures
There are some great things happening here at Life With B & Baby M! The biggest one is the weight loss journey that B & I are embarking on :) Since we started dating 5 years ago (and especially now with marriage/a child), we've packed on the pounds but they have got to go! If not for ourselves, for Baby M-she needs a good example of healthy living growing up. We've started doing "fitness" on the Wii (i.e. dancing our butts off-literally!) and we'll be participating in a 5k walk/run called Take Back The Night at my college. Other exciting things happening are giveaways!!!! As of right now, we have 2 lined up: Purex Complete & Suprema Mamma (check her out on Facebook here). I've been wanting to host giveaways for some time and now my chance has come! I will talking to more sponsors in efforts to line up more giveaways so feel free to invite your friends and their friends and their friends...you get the idea, right? Hope you're as excited as I am!

Formal Pics!!
So this past weekend, my sorority (Gamma Sigma Sigma) had Formal in Greenville, SC and it was a blast!! Having become a Sorority alumni since the beginning of the semester, I haven't been able to see everyone as regularly as I used to so I jumped on the opportunity to attend Formal. It was fun to be back with everyone! Here are some of my favorite pics:

30 Days of Me-Day 29 & 30
So here it is: the last of the 30 Days of Me series {insert sad face}. I hope you all have had as much fun getting to know me as I've had telling you about me! So onto the last 2 days...
Day twenty-nine: a photo of your favorite person from history.
I actually have 3! The first is Princess Diana, a woman who despite who she was, never lost her love for others and continually fought for causes she believed in
Day thirty: a photo you find beautiful.
This is an untouched photo of a sunset over Clemson University. This is beautiful to me because where else in the world will you be able to find a sunset that features a university's colors?! Driving down the road and seeing this can easily make your troubles melt away (well, if you're a Clemson fan anyway).
Day twenty-nine: a photo of your favorite person from history.

Number 2 Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco (who also happens to be where Mackenzie's middle name comes from!). She was a beautiful woman who, like Diana, fought for those who couldn't fight for themselves by starting foundations for the children of Monaco and standing up for racial equality (as evidence by the start of her friendship with Josephine Baker).
The 3rd one is a First Lady who completed changed what that title meant! Mrs. Jackie Kennedy Onassis brought a flair and style that the White House had never seen before. She was a young ,vibrant woman who started an entire fashion trend just by being herself.

30 Days of Me-Day 28
Day twenty-eight: a photo of something/somebody that made your day.
I didn't have to think long about this-I knew it would be some photo of Baby M :) This photo is one of only a handful of pictures I have that to show me nursing M or shortly thereafter. As you can see, she has fallen into a blissful booby-sleep hehe. This photo makes my day because I knew that I was giving her the absolute best start in life, even if we were only able to do it for 3 months. My goal for future LOs is definitely 1+!

30 Days of Me-Day 27
Day twenty-seven: a photo of something you are looking forward to.
There are a couple of things I'm looking forward to in the very near future (hopefully). The first one is receiving my BS in Health Science from Clemson University!! It has been a long time coming and I'm ready to hold it in my hand!

The second thing I'm looking forward to is being a mommy again! Nothing has challenged me more (in a good way) than becoming a mother and having someone being dependent upon me 24/7. It has been full of such conflicting emotions: growing up but at the same time getting to play like a kid again; completely focusing on someone else but having to focus on me too (eating right, exercising, etc.). I haven't experienced any joy like I felt when my I first "saw" M at my ultrasound and when I got to hold her for the 1st time.

I like the quote on this picture because it reminds that no matter where I come from (single-parent family), I can go out into the world and make something of myself, that I am the only one responsible for my life.

You guessed it! My favorite subject is Spanish. I love learning a new language and being able to communicate with different people. It's actually my minor in college right now and I love it!!

30 Days of Me-Day 23
Day twenty-three: a photo of something you want to do someday.
I want to be a doula!! I've always loved children but it wasn't until the birth of my daughter that I realized that I wanted to work with pregnant moms in bringing their little ones into this world. We had a doula for M's birth and she was amazing!! I know that I would not have gotten through it without her. Although I (very unfortunately) ended up with an epidural after 30+ hours of labor, she was there to help me not beat myself up about it and just focus on getting Baby Girl here.

Day twenty-two: a photo that you associate a good memory with.
This picture has a GREAT memory because it was the first glance that I got of my baby girl (sex unknown at the time)!! I had known for 3 weeks that I was pregnant but had to wait for the ultrasound for the "medical official announcement". Now, this little peanut is a beautiful 13-month-old diva who is full of life and laughs :)

I actually don't have a favorite person but a favorite couple: Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt. They're both HOT in my opinion! I'm comfortable enough in myself to have a lady-crush on Angelina ;) Plus, they're not the normal, spoiled type of celebrity who only cares about themselves, which is attractive too. Here is a good picture that I found of them:
